The Fountainhead

 

  

One of the first three condominium associations in America, the Fountainhead was built in 1964 as a 127-unit luxury oceanfront community residence--with an ocean view  for every unit--at the then astounding cost of $5 million.

 

The Fountainhead has one of the largest open spaces of manicured landscaping surrounding the main residence of any seaside high-rise in the Fort Lauderdale-Pompano Beach-Hollywood-Miami Beach area, with 24-hour valet service, a full-service restaurant, pool, fitness room and picnic areas.

 

All in all, the Fountainhead is a classic community with modern advantages.

 

Elegant Seaside Village Ambiance

 

The Fountainhead is located at the southernmost end of the village of Lauderdale by the Sea, a small and still old-fashioned beach town of shops, restaurants and clubs surrounding the Anglin Fishing Pier. It is a refuge from the bustling cities and resort communities to the north, south and west while retaining a close neighborhood feel.

 

Our property also borders the City of Fort Lauderdale and we, along with the Caribe next door, are the northern outposts of the Galt Ocean Mile Community Association, an economically and politically influential league of condominium communities in the beachfront area.
